6675 Pinecrest is a large spec home for an established family who enjoys outdoor activities all year round.
Both its virtue and challenge was the front yard forest-like entrance that required the house to setback significantly from the street while also trying to gain as much backyard space as possible.
Immersing the house in the "forest" while immediately opening its common areas to the backyard's outdoor activities allows a continuous connection with nature through the middle of the house – the common areas. Distributing the remaining spaces to both sides of the property enables the master area to have its wing independent of the "youngsters area" without sacrificing contact with nature.
