Sunstone House is designed for an established family that hosts a permanent guest or multiple guests around the year because of its inviting yard, space, and flexible uses.
With a wide and 'shallow' lot, the challenge was to place the house in a way that it looked grand from the street without sacrificing outdoor space for a backyard.
The house itself was placed on one side of the lot and has an 'L' shape, with the pool in the middle that opens to the side yard, making it feel like the backyard.
Once inside, you can enjoy the views of the outdoor spaces while relaxing in the living room or bar area. This 'public' area also features a 15 foot-ceiling height with plenty of natural light to enjoy activities both indoors and outdoors without feeling a separation between spaces.
The three-car garage opens to the service area that connects to the laundry, staff room, pantry room, and kitchen, making a quick connection to any area you want from the car.
Going up the stairs, you'll encounter a peaceful view of a heritage tree, helping you to reset your state of mind from one level to the next.
The second level hosts the secondary rooms, a family room, and a vast master wing including a private studio, walk-in closet with a security room, oversized shower, double vanities, and a freestanding tub.
